Frequently Asked Questions
At Costa Oil Peachtree City, we believe in transparency, speed, and service with integrity. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we get from customers who visit our shop for the first time.
We keep things simple and transparent. To give you an exact quote, we just need your vehicle’s year, make, model, and engine size so we can look up the correct filter and oil type.
For reference:
🔧A Full Synthetic Oil Change (up to 5 quarts with a standard spin-on filter) runs about $100 including tax, before discounts.
🔧A Synthetic Blend Oil Change runs about $70 including tax, before discounts.
We also offer regular promotions and discounts, so the final price is often lower.
Most oil changes at Costa Oil Peachtree City take 10 minutes or less once your vehicle is in the bay. You can stay in your car the whole time—no appointment needed, no waiting room.
However, some vehicles have underbody service covers, skid plates, or specialty filters that can slightly extend the service time. In those cases, it might take an additional 5–20 minutes to safely access and complete the oil change. We’ll always let you know ahead of time if your vehicle requires that extra care.
No appointment needed—ever! We’re a drive-thru oil change center. Just stop by whenever it’s convenient, stay in your car, and our techs will get you back on the road fast.
We use Havoline Full Synthetic and Chevron Synthetic Blend oils for top-quality performance and protection.
We also have Mobil 1 oils, including Mobil 1 ESP for European cars. For diesel engines, we carry Delo Full Synthetic and Rotella Full Synthetic Diesel Oil.
All of our oils meet or exceed OEM specifications, and we’ll always match your manufacturer’s recommended viscosity and type.
It depends on your oil type and driving habits:
• Synthetic Blend: about every 3,000 miles
• Full Synthetic: about every 5,000 miles
• Full Synthetic Diesel: about every 7,500 miles
We’ll always place a reminder sticker on your windshield with your next recommended service date and mileage.
Yes! Every oil change includes a free fluid top-off, air filter check, tire pressure check, and a multi-point visual inspection.
However, some fluids are not serviceable or may be part of pressurized systems (such as coolant or power steering) that are unsafe to open until the vehicle has cooled. We’ll always handle those systems safely and let you know if anything needs attention later.
Full synthetic oil provides the best protection, performance, and resistance to heat or breakdown. Synthetic blend combines conventional and synthetic oils for good protection at a lower cost.
That said, all vehicles can safely use full synthetic oil, and doing so can provide benefits such as longer engine life, improved fuel economy, and better performance in extreme temperatures.
Absolutely. After every oil change, our team will reset your oil life monitor or maintenance reminder for most vehicles so your dashboard stays clear and accurate.

Great question — and one we hear a lot. You may have noticed that many carmakers have been stretching oil change intervals over the last decade, often claiming that synthetic oil can last up to 10,000 miles.
The truth is, those numbers are part of lowering the advertised cost of ownership to meet federal fuel economy and emissions targets (CAFE standards). Longer oil intervals make the car look cheaper to maintain on paper — but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better for your engine in the long run.
In real-world conditions — especially Georgia’s mix of stop-and-go traffic, short trips, and high heat — oil breaks down faster. Even full synthetic can lose viscosity and cleaning power long before 10,000 miles.
That’s why we recommend changing your oil about every 5,000 miles. It’s the sweet spot for protecting modern engines and keeping vehicles running strong well beyond the warranty period — not just until the paperwork runs out.
